The title of the Symposium is\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.european-mrs.com\/exploring-emerging-photo-and-electrochemical-systems-co2-conversion-fuels-and-chemicals-ii-emrs\"><b>Exploring emerging photo and electrochemical systems for CO<\/b><b>2<\/b><b> conversion to fuels and chemicals (II)<\/b><\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The symposium will dive into the exciting world of CO\u2082 conversion, where science, technology, and sustainability come together. We will explore the latest breakthroughs in catalyst design and innovative methods\u2014ranging from electrochemical and photocatalytic approaches to biological and chemical pathways\u2014that are turning CO\u2082 into valuable fuels and chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the lab, the discussions will focus on scaling up these technologies, tackling engineering and economic challenges, and examining their integration with renewable energy. Life cycle and techno-economic perspectives will also be addressed to assess their real environmental and market impact.<\/p>\n<p>Bringing together researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry leaders, the symposium aims to spark collaboration and fresh ideas. Our goal is to highlight CO\u2082 conversion as a key tool in the fight against climate change and a pillar of a sustainable energy future.<\/p>\n<p><b>All ECOMATES DCs submitted an oral or poster contribution to the Symposium.
